Andrew Feldman Joins Team FullTilt

Andrew Feldman, a 21 year old paperboy from Watford has just signed a contract to join Team FullTilt Poker. Feldman have won over $4 million playing online poker at Full Tilt Poker.

About two weeks ago the British newspaper “The Sun” ran an article about Andrew Feldman who used to work as a paperboy in Watford but quit his job to pursue his carrier as a professional poker player. During the last 3 years he has gone from sitting at his parents house playing $1 Sit and Go’s to buying a flat worth $500.000 and a brand new sports car.

FullTilt Poker Launches Poker School

Lately there has been a lot of new poker training sites popping up every day on the internet and now the giant online poker room FullTilt Poker have decided to open their own poker school online. It may not come as a surprise to you that this poker school will use players from Team FullTilt to teach you the game of poker.

The name of the project is FullTilt Poker Academy or FTPA as it will probably be known for on all the online poker forums. The lessons on the site are for the most part multimedia based and consist of training videos and interavtive tests and challenges.

At the FullTilt Poker Academy you will be able to learn “Pre-Flop Play” from Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, “Five Common Holdem Leaks” with Phil Gordon, “The Power of Postition” with Bill Edler and many more. You will also have access to videos of recorded sessions where the members of Team FullTilt will tell you how they are playing and why during the course of the game.

The Academy have their own bonus point system where you will get points when you pass one of the challenges. The points that you earn in the challenges can be used to puschase special Full Tilt Poker items in a shop within the Poker Academy.

Argentinian Jose Barbero Joins Team FullTilt Poker

FullTilt Poker are signing players over to their Team FullTilt like crazy for the last couple of weeks. The latest addition to the ever growing Team Full Tilt is the Argentinian poker pro Jose Barbero who recently signed a contract to join the team and start representing them in land based poker tournaments.

Jose Ignacio Barbero is born and raised in Buenos Aires and he is ranked the number one poker player in Argentina after many years of being a successful poker player. Last summer he managed to get in the money in two WSOP events and his latest tournament win came in January when he won a side event in the EPT Bahamas winning over $80 000.

Barbero will now become the first poker player from Argentina to join Team FullTilt with players like Phil Ivey, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Howard Lederer.

“I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to represent Argentina and FullTilt Poker, I would like to thank everyone at FTP who beleive in me and i look forward to give it my best at the poker tables as a Team FullTilt player in the future”, Barbero said in an interview.

Huck Seed Wins National Heads-Up Poker Championship

Team FullTilt Poker member Huck Seed took down the NBC NHPC 2009 title which made gave him a nice $500 000 payday.

National Heads-Up Poker Championship is a poker tournament arranged by the TV channel NBC that is held every year. In order to participate in this tournament you have to get invited which makes sure that only the best of the best will participate in this tournament. The tournament format is No Limit Holdem and obviously it is heads-up matches that are played between the poker players.

Just like every other year 64 players participated in this tournament so in order to win this tournament you would have to win 6 heads-up matches in a row. On his way to the victory Huck Seed beat the following players: Jonathan Little, Gus Hansen, Glen Chorny, David Oppenheim, Sam Farha and in the final he beat Team PokerStars member Vanessa Rousso.

In the final hand Seed flops a pair of kings while Rousso catches a pair of tens on the turn and both players end up all in. Seed’s pair of kings stand up against Rousso’s pair of tens as the river card is a blank and Huck Seed is the proud winner of NBC’s NHPC 2009.
