Gus Hansen Keeps Winning Big at FullTilt Poker

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Gus Hansen is also known as “The Great Dane” continues to climb on the list of the players who have won the most money during 2009. Last weekend he took on players like “durrrr” and “Ziigmund” at the high stakes cash game tables at Full Tilt Poker and it would prove impossible to win any of the bigger pots of the session against Gus Hansen.

When it was all said and done Gus left the table with a profit of over $1 Million and in total he has made a profit of over $4 Million during 2009.

At the same time as Gus is on a real hot streak Tom Dwan has hit a real cold streak and he is down over $3 Million for the year. He is also down in the poker challenge against Patrick Antonius where he will lose another $1.5 Million unless he manages to turn this bad streak around soon.

Hac “trex313” Dang Wins $4 Million at FullTilt Poker

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

Hac Dang, or trex313 as he is known as at the FullTilt Poker tables have started of the year in an amazing way winning $4 Million in the first 3 months of the year. Trex313 has been dominating the high stakes tables at FullTilt Poker this year and no matter who he is up against he walks away as the huge winner.

During the starting months of the year there has been a lot of action at the Full Tilt Poker high stakes tables. A couple of players have been winning Millions while other has lost Millions. In other words it’s business as usual at FullTilt.

One of the biggest wins during one day of play was made by Sami “LarzLuzak” Kelopuro when he won over $1.5 Million during just one day.

A couple of days later it was Phil Ivey who crushed his opponents at the Omaha and Mixed tables at FullTilt. During the evening he took on players like “durrrr”, “LarzLuzak” and “Ziigmund”. After a couple of hours of play he left the tables with a nice $1.2 Million profit.

Even though these players have been making some good profit playing online poker it is still “trex313” who has been the big winner at FullTilt this year with his amazing $4 Million profit. It is obvious that this player is not scared of anyone at the poker tables as he has been playing against the likes of Phil Ivey, Patrick Antonius, durrrr, Ziigmund and LarzLuzak.

Hac Dang is the brother of Di Dang who is a well respected online poker player. Di Dang is more known under his online poker alias which is “Urindanger”. Over the last couple of years the two brother have won over $10 Million playing at FullTilt Poker.

Durrrr Challenge Update

Friday, March 6th, 2009

A couple of weeks ago the first match in the durrrr Challenge started. The marathon match between Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Patrick Antonius will last for 50.000 hands and it is expected that one of these players are going to win a big amount of money. But so far we have not seen a lot of the normal crazyness at the tables as they have been playing realtively small and controlled pots. After 13 hours of play and a bit more than 4000 hands played it is durrrr that is in the lead in this challenge with a profit of $140.380.

At the FullTilt Poker website you can follow all the action and get the latest statistics from this challenge. You will also be able to get all the latest info in our Poker News blog so make sure to stay tuned here as well.

According to the information found at the FullTilt website it shows that the total turnover generated by this challenge so far is $23 Million which is a lot considering it is only two players playing in this challenge.

The statistics also show that durrrr has won the most hands but Antonius is winning higher amounts in the pots that he is taking down.

On the FullTilt durrrr challenge website you will also be able to see re-runs of the biggest pots and on the top of this list at the moment is a $166.580 pot.

Phil Ivey Wins $1.1 Million at Full Tilt Poker

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Phil Ivey lost a coin flip against the Finnish poker profile Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies that cost him $128 000 but he still managed to end the session with a $1.1 Million profit.

Ivey had a really good day yesterday when he ended up winning $1.1 Million dollars at the high stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker. Most of the money came from Tom “durrrr” Dwan. He could have won even more though but a coin flip against “Ziigmund” would end his day.

Both players decided to go all in before the flop no matter the cards they were dealt and the pot reached $258 000 after they both went all in. Ivey was dealt the hand 2d, 2s, 2c and 7d which is a really poor hand in Omaha. Ziigmund had Ivey completely dominated when he flipped over his hand showing 4d, 4c, 7c, and Jh. The flop, turn or river did not bring any help to Phil Ivey who ended up losing this $258 000 pot to Ziigmund.

I still think Phil Ivey was pretty happy leaving the table when it was all over and adding $1.1 Million to his already huge bankroll.

Phil Ivey wins 60K pot against John Juanda

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Yesterday I was railing the NL $500/$1000 CAP table at Full Tilt Poker. I like to watch this table since there is usually a lot of action going on.

One hand that cought my attention was the one between Phil Ivey and John Juanda. Juanda had been playing really tight for the last hours, come to think of it this is probably the first hand I saw him play.

It played out something like this….

John Juanda has the big blind and picks up 5-6 off suit. Phil ivey raises it up to $3000 under the gun and it is folded to Juanda who calls.

The flop comes 5-8-6 rainbow and Juanda raises with around $5K and Phil Ivey makes the re raise. Juanda then moves all in with the maximum of $30K and Phil Ivey calls showing 9-9 for an overpair.

The turn comes another 8 giving Phil Ivey two pair with nines and eights and is now ahead in the hand.

The river comes another eight giving Ivey the full house with eights over nines while Juanda holds eights over sixes.

This meant that Ivey could take down a nice $60K pot and Juanda lost even though he had Ivey dominated after the flop.

Durrrr vs Ziigmund at RailHeaven

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

The Full Tilt Poker regular high stakes player Tom “Durrrr” Dwan ended up winning a decent sum of money at the NL $500/$1000 table RailHeaven. It was when another known high stakes player with the alias Ziigmund sat down at the table that the pots started to get huge. In one single hand Durrrr took down a nice pot of $400 000 and ended up winning a total of $700 000 for the day. Ziigmund on the other hand ended of losing $800 000 for the day but thanks to his fantastic start this month he is still up $800 000 for the month.

It is really amazing what amounts of money are changing hands on these table and if you enjoy watching high stakes poker games i really recommend checking out the table RailHeaven at Full Tilt Poker. There is no cash game online that will even come close to the action you will see here.

Gus Hansen On Tilt at the $500/$1000 CAP Tables

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Like i have said before in the poker blog I am not really much of a railbird but after spending some time watchen the NL $500/$1000 CAP tables at Full Tilt Poker I have to say that it is very entertaining. The hands that take down the huge pots are often really crazy and i cant understand some of the calls that are made.

At the moment Gus Hansen is reall on Tilt and will probably donk off a whole bunch of money before his days is over.

I will attach two screenschots below of some hands that were played really crazy by Gus Hansen. In one of them he ended up winning $60K with KQ against AA where they were all in pre flop.

Enjoy!!

I have attached a screenshot of the hand below for those of you who dont have the energy to read the hand history (I am planning on getting a plugin to make the HH a bit more reader friendly).

There are many things i dont understand in this hand…

  • Why does Ziigmund go all in for $30 000 with 22 in a pot that is unraised?
  • Why does David Benyamine call with one player behind when holding a mediokre hand like 66?
  • What does OMGClayAiken think that the other two players have when he is calling with his AK off suit?
  • Why cant I ever win with AK against two low pocket pairs? :)

I dont usually sit on the rail and watch these games so maybe thats why i find this play a bit odd. If you have more experience and feel that they all played super great in this hand feel free to leave a comment and say that i am a retard :)

Good Month For Phil Ivey

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

The Full Tilt Poker Pro Phil Ivey can look back the great run he had at the poker tables during the month of September. During the 30th of September alone he managed to take down over $1 Million in winnings at the Full Tilt Poker tables. So for the whole month of September Phil Ivey has won over $2 Million from the other high stakes players on this poker room. Phil Ivey is really an amazing player as he is crushing his competitors on in all games and on all levels.

On a side note we can report that the Swedish player “Slaktarn” who has been winning a lot of money on Full Tilt lately had a really bad month in September as he lost over $1 Million during the month. Maybe the fairy tale of this players is about to come to and end. It has been reported that this player borrowed $10 000 to sit down at a $200-400 Heads Up game and thats how he started winning all his cash. But if he continues to play like last month he will soon need to borrow money again.

You can find these players at Full Tilt Poker and if you dont have an account yet we can really recommend this poker room. When you sign up do not forget to enter the Full Tilt Poker referral code EASYTILT that will give you a free $600 bonus and entries to restricted freerolls.
