CardSpike Poker Bonus Code

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

In late 2008 the new addition to the Cake Network CardSpike Poker opened their doors to the public.

To indroduce themselves at the already crowded online poker marketing they decided to offer a great $500 bonus to all new players that use the CardSpike Poker bonus code PBS500 after they have made their first deposit. Once this bonus code has been entered you will instantly be awared the free bonus to your pending bonus account where it will held untill you start playing for real money to clear the bonus.

How the CardSpike bonus is cleared

Once the $500 bonus is in your pending bonus account you will need to start playing poker at the real money tables in order to clear the bonus and release it to your real money account. For every 167 player points that you earn at the cash game tables, in Sit and Go’s or in poker tournaments you will release $10 of the bonus to your account. It is really great with a bonus that is released in increments instead of having the full bonus released in a lump sum. When a bonus is released in a lump sum there is a big chance that you will not be able to clear the full bonus before the time period for the bonus is up. But with the bonus system at CardSpike you never have to worry about that since the bonus is released in $10 increments.

How to earn player points at CardSpike.com

When you are playing at the cash game tables at CardSpike you will be earning 1 player point for every dollar that is taken in rake in the pots where you participate, this means that you will be able to earn as many as 3 points in every single hand you play. Should the rake at the table be $0.50 for example you will be awared 0.5 player points so this is a very fair bonus system even for the low limit players.

When playing in tournaments at CardSpike you will also be able to earn player points to clear your bonus. For every $1 that is taken in tournament fees you will be awarded with 7 player points. So if you buy in to a tournament with a buy in of $50+4 you will earn 28 points from this tournament alone.

As you can see you will be able to earn the player points at a really fast rate when playing at CardSpike Poker which means that you will be able to clear the full bonus amount in no time if you are playing a couple of hours a week.

Where to enter the bonus code at CardSpike Poker

Usually when you sign up for a poker bonus at a regular poker room you enter the bonus code when making your first deposit. the system at CardSpike is a bit different however. After you have made your first deposit you need to enter the CardSpike bonus code in order to claim your bonus. If you forget to do so your bonus will not be activated and you will earn player points for nothing.

This is what you need to do in order to activate your bonus at CardSpike:

  • Open the CardSpike Poker client and log in
  • If you have yet to make a deposit you need to make one now
  • Click the tab called “Rewards” in the poker lobby
  • Click on the tab “Deposit Bonus” in the “Rewards” section
  • Enter the bonus code PBS500 in the field for the poker bonus code and click submit

You are now ready to start playing at the poker tables and all the player points that you earn will count towards clearing your bonus at CardSpike.com.

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

If you are a new player to PokerStars.com you will be able to take part of a free $50 bonus when you create your account and use the PokerStars marketing code PAWSUB465. This marketing code will not only give you the free money at PokerStars.com but it will also get you invited to freerolls that are restricted to players who have used this code. These exclusive freerolls are listed in the PokerStars.com client under Special freerolls and will only be able to enter these freerolls if you have used our marketing code.

How to clear the free bonus at PokerStars.com

Once you have made your first deposit at PokerStars of at least $50 you will instantly be credited with another $50 for free. This $50 bonus is credited to your pending bonus balance and will stay there untill you have cleared the full bonus. In order to clear this bonus you will need to generate 10 player points in order to release $1 of your bonus. This means that you will need to genereate 500 player points in order to clear the full $50 bonus. Once you have reached the 500 player points the bonus is instantly transfered to your real money account and you can wither withdraw it or add it to your bankroll.

How to earn player points at PokerStars

Every time that you playat the real money tables at PokerStars you will be earning player points which will be counted towards clearing your bonus. Once the rake has reached $0.40 on one of your cash game tables you will be awarded with one player point, so in a way you could say that what it takes to clear the full bonus is 500 raked hands.

CardSpike Poker Launched

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

The brand new poker room CardSpike Poker just launched last week. They have teamed up with the Cake Poker Network so they are sharing traffic with all of the other poker rooms on this network which is a great advantage to the players. This way you will be able to play against thousands of other players at any given time even though CardSpike just launched.

One thing that makes CardSpike Poker a unique poker room on the Cake Network is that they are the only ones that currently offer an online casino buildt into their poker software. This is a great feature for all you action junkies who are sitting and waiting for a tournament to start.

You will also be able to get CardSpike Poker rakeback if you enter a certain tracking code.

CardSpike Poker is a great option for US players as they have one of the highest acceptance rates on credit card deposits coming from the US. This is really great since it is not easy for US players to find a poker room where they can easily make a deposit using a credit card without jumping through a lot of hoops to get there.

Try CardSpike Poker today and enter the CardSpike Poker bonus code PBS500 for a nice $500 bonus when you make your first deposit.

The well known Full Tilt Poker player John Juanda took down the WSOPE Maint event a couple of hours ago. The final table lasted for an amazing 22 hours and the heads up battle to decide the winner lasted 7 hours. I can imagine that he will need some rest after this tournament. But at least when he wakes up in the morning he will find the WSOPE 2008 Main Event bracelet on his wrist and a nice £868 000 in cash waiting for him at the bank for his first place finish.

The second place finisher Stanislav Alekhin will not walk away empty handed either as he cashed in for £533 950 for his second place finish.

Here are the results of the final table of the 2008 WSOPE Maint Event

1. John Juanda £868 800

2. Stanislav Alekhin £553 950

3. Ivan Demidov £334 850

4. Bengt Sonnert £271 500

5. Daniel Negreanu £217 200

6. Scott Fischman £171 950

New Design For Party Poker

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Party Poker was one of the first online poker rooms back in the days. And ever since the launch the poker client has been looking the same old way. But finally the good people at Party Poker have decided that it is time to upgrade the software in give it a more modern feel and look. In my opinion the new software is an improvement compared to the old one but when i see the poker tables it makes me wonder if the designers at Party Poker was trying to make it look like the Bodog Poker tables. There are some similarities i must say.

Upload your own Avatar

You can now upload your own avatar which will be shown when you sit down at the Party Poker tables. A great function for all you people out there who just love to put up pictures of your babies and pets. I dont use this function myself as I dont feel it is adding any value to me at all.

New Chat Features

The chat features have also been upgraded at Party Poker, now you can interact in a more modern way with smilies and such. Another function that people probably appreciate but honestly… Who uses the chat functions at poker rooms? I dont! All i ever see in these chats is LOL DONKAMENTS, DONKEY etc etc. So all this new function really does is that it allows you to add a sad smiley after you type LOL DONKAMENTS.

However i feel that overall the new Party Poker software is an improvement. But for those of you who do not agree with me you will be glad to know that you can easily change the settings so that you use the same old PartyPoker software as you did in 1998.

If you are a new player signing up at PartyPoker we have to recommend you using the Party Poker signup code EASYBONUS when creating your account. This code will give you a nice $150 for free to try out the new poker software.

Good Month For Phil Ivey

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

The Full Tilt Poker Pro Phil Ivey can look back the great run he had at the poker tables during the month of September. During the 30th of September alone he managed to take down over $1 Million in winnings at the Full Tilt Poker tables. So for the whole month of September Phil Ivey has won over $2 Million from the other high stakes players on this poker room. Phil Ivey is really an amazing player as he is crushing his competitors on in all games and on all levels.

On a side note we can report that the Swedish player “Slaktarn” who has been winning a lot of money on Full Tilt lately had a really bad month in September as he lost over $1 Million during the month. Maybe the fairy tale of this players is about to come to and end. It has been reported that this player borrowed $10 000 to sit down at a $200-400 Heads Up game and thats how he started winning all his cash. But if he continues to play like last month he will soon need to borrow money again.

You can find these players at Full Tilt Poker and if you dont have an account yet we can really recommend this poker room. When you sign up do not forget to enter the Full Tilt Poker referral code EASYTILT that will give you a free $600 bonus and entries to restricted freerolls.
